CAN-UK Underwriting Services Ltd. was created in 2005 to oversee the development and administration of legal expense insurance (LEI) products including policy wordings, and to work in partnership with STERLON Underwriting Managers Ltd.
With access to the largest database of Legal Expense Insurance claims in Canada covering Healthcare, Education and Commercial risks CAN-UK is well positioned to provide local underwriting support to underwriters at Lloyd's of London. By providing local expertise and access to a large database of Canadian LEI products and clients, CAN-UK underwriters can draw on a wealth of loss experience covering many years. CAN-UK now develops all Legal Expense Insurance policy wordings on behalf of London underwriters, often drawing on a library of LEI wordings from around the world. The adjudication of claims remains with STERLON.
